VENEERS

Veneers allow for easy correction of chips, stains, gaps, and misshapen teeth. They are one of the dental treatments we use to restore your smile and the confidence that comes with it. The natural look of veneers makes them an ideal option for patients who only need minor adjustments to make their smile shine.

Veneers are thin shells that are custom-made from porcelain and other tooth-colored materials. They cover the front side of your teeth to hide small imperfections. Some conservative dental preparation of your tooth may be required before the dentist places the veneer.

Veneers are one of our most popular Financial District dental treatments because of their natural, pleasing look. While they are stain-resistant, your dentist may recommend that you avoid tea, coffee, tobacco, and red wine so that you can preserve the beautiful look of your new smile.

Don’t assume that veneer costs are out of reach. They are more affordable than you may realize. Let’s discuss your personalized treatment plan and the cost at your next visit.

PHILIPS ZOOM! IN-OFFICE TEETH WHITENING

Feeling good about your smile increases confidence and helps you feel more comfortable in social and work situations. Philips Zoom! is a pain-free cosmetic dental treatment for brightening your smile quickly and easily. It is safe, simple, and highly recommended by dentists.

The Zoom technique produces dramatic results in just 45 minutes by combining Zoom chairside light-activated gel with a powerful whitening LED accelerator. The gel and light work together to dissolve stains without affecting the structure of your teeth.

You will receive three 15-minute applications during one appointment. After you rinse, the treatment is complete, and you can leave the office with a whiter, brighter smile.

Zoom treatments are recommended for almost anyone, but they show the greatest improvement when treating:

  • Yellowing that is associated with aging

  • Tobacco stains

  • Stains from dark drinks such as cola, tea, and coffee

  • Red wine stains

During a cosmetic dental treatment consultation, your dentist will help you to determine the ideal level of whitening to achieve a natural-looking bright smile.

BRIDGES

A dental bridge is used to bridge the gap between missing teeth. A bridge may be made from gold, porcelain, alloys, or a combination of materials. It is used to hold artificial teeth in place.

Bridges look natural, relieve the strees on your bite, and help to maintain the shape of your face. Because the bridge is attached to other teeth, gums, and bone, it's important to maintain good oral health for the procedure to be successful long-term.

CROWNS

Crowns are typically used on patients with broken or damaged teeth. They are sometimes referred to as a “cap.” A crown is cemented over the damaged tooth and rests above the gum line. We use the latest, highest-performing materials in our practice and our dental crowns are made of durable and aesthetically-pleasing porcelain. The color of the porcelain crown is matched to the same color as the patient’s natural tooth and is very strong.

In some cases, we may recommend a partial crown if you have insufficient tooth structure left to support a full crown.

In keeping with our commitment to applying modern dental treatments and technology, San Francisco Dental Partners uses digital X-rays and iTero scanner tools for the crown-making process.

With iTero, there are no messy impressions to deal with. Your permanent crown will be placed one week after the first appointment. Your crown will be individually sculpted and placed into your mouth, creating a perfect fit that does not disrupt your natural bite or jaw movements.

If broken teeth that have worn down naturally over the years are causing pain when you chew or interfering with your smile, ask our dentist in the Financial District about being fitted with a crown.
